6. Data and Privacy

  • 6.1 Teacher Data Ownership:

Teachers retain full copyright and ownership of the content they create within Ednoda, including example sentences, questions, and related teaching materials. By submitting content, you grant Ednoda a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, adapt, and display this content within the Ednoda platform for educational purposes. Your content will not be shared, sold, or licensed outside the platform without your explicit permission. Ednoda may display your content to other teachers and students using the platform, including within shared question sets and games.

  • 6.2 Education Nodes and Collaborative Editing:

Ednoda uses an "Education Node" system. These are modular teaching units—such as example sentences, questions, and images—that can be reused across different games and question lists.

When you contribute content to an Education Node, you agree that your contribution may be reused, adapted, or expanded upon by other verified Ednoda teachers within the platform. Your original work will remain attributed to you, but derivative question lists or learning activities may incorporate or modify the content for use in different contexts.

“Public” Education Nodes are only visible to other users on the Ednoda platform. They are never shared outside Ednoda without your explicit permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ednoda is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. In no event shall Ednoda's total liability exceed the amount paid by you to Ednoda in the last 12 months.

8. Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform. If your account is terminated for reasons other than a violation of these Terms, you may be entitled to a prorated refund at our sole discretion.

9. Changes to the Terms

  • We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Platform Status & Disclaimer

Ednoda is actively evolving. Features, pricing, and system behavior may change as we improve the platform. While we take every effort to ensure stability and reliability, temporary bugs or unexpected behavior may occur as we roll out updates and improvements. Your use of the Service implies understanding that the platform is in an iterative development phase.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
